Hello, my name is Marcos Ezequiel (born May 22, 1997, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil); I am a digital artist and the founder of the Mini-Minimalism art movement.
My journey as a digital artist began in March 2022 with the launch of the "Shariff Collection", which I informally dubbed the "Cornerstone," as it serves as the foundation for this entire process. Comprising over 150 of my original works, the collection aims to bring the enduring relevance of 21st-century minimalism to the blockchain and includes, in part, tributes to minimalist artists Sol LeWitt, Frank Stella, Donald Judd, and Piet Mondrian.
In March 2025, I presented the "RaritieS Collection" on the original NFT platform Rarible, although the process actually began on May 28, 2024, with the works "Mini France" and "MiniM" (in that order). This collection laid the groundwork for the formal creation of the Mini-Minimalism art movement on December 4, 2025—a date marked by the launch of the artworks "Mini Movement (Founder Edition)" and "Mini BRYG." This movement establishes a new paradigm in minimalist practice.
However, none of this would have been possible without the direct influence of my mother, Sandra Nascimento, who funded the acquisition of the necessary hardware—including the computer itself, its components, and peripherals—to create the ideal setup for this artistic work. Before the inception of the Shariff Collection, it was she who broadened my cultural horizons by introducing me to protected areas, such as Pedra Branca State Park (Parque Estadual da Pedra Branca) and the Botanical Garden (Jardim Botânico Rio de Janeiro), and major museums like the Museum of Tomorrow (Museu do Amanhã) and the Rio Art Museum (Museu de Arte do Rio), as well as the marine museum AquaRio. She also exposed me to the architecture and religious installations of the National Shrine of Aparecida (Santuário Nacional de Aparecida), the Expo Cristã evangelical fair, and tourism in destinations like Campos do Jordão, Curitiba, and Vila Velha, all places that expanded my perspective, alongside elements of home design, such as ceiling heights and interior styling.
The wealth of cultural experience my mother brought into my life paved the way for the launch of the Shariff Collection, the RaritieS Collection and this artistic movement. She even plays an active role in the creation of certain artworks, offering ideas and suggestions based on societal themes.
